Gabriel Mark Hasselbach & Band @ The TD Vancouver Jazz Festival

Gabriel Mark Hasselbach and his band rip through an exciting set at the 2017 TD Vancouver Jazz Festival, in a cool venue called Blue Martini. Performing with him are his longtime fav players: Miles Black (piano), Laurence Mollerup (bass), Phil Robertson (drums), and his 'since childhood' musical buddy Brian Monroney (guitar), who came all the way up from Seattle for this gig. The set included many of Gabriel's strongest live tunes, culled from his 14 albums, 10 Billboard hits, and 3 JazzWeek hits, plus his 2011 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards  Album of the Year 'Told Ya So'.

Gabriel plays flugelhorn, flute, and trumpet on this set. You can find him at www.GabrielJazz.com

His Gabriel Signature Mouthpiece line is at www.Wedgemouthpiece.com/Gabriel

Charmed Life Moves Up the Billboard Charts to #24....

Well, I am getting some action it seems! It can be a slow arc, but also can be long lasting exposure...

My tune Charmed Life from 'Open Invitation' finally cracked the Billboard charts, debuting at #28, and is now at #24.

A lot of credit goes to co-composer and producer Lew Laing Jr., who helped make this tune a hit, with his hip production skills and in-the-pocket playing. Bob Baldwin delivers a concise yet playful solo...

We are off and running, this will be my seventh Billboard hit, following Rockin' The Ribjoint, Starpixie, Lock It Up, Ready When You Are, Propulsion, and a two top fives as featured artist on Bob Baldwin's Seabreeze and Chameleon 3000....

Check out the reviews from the likes of Randy Brecker and more!

Here is the new interactive video for Charmed Life!

On the road this week

I'll be in the Phoenix area for the Chandler Jazz Festival this weekend on Saturday April 2 with the fantastic Lamar Gaines on keys, Will Gaines on bass, Buddy Banks on drums, and Adam Armijo on guitar. I also have some great sponsors who came on board, such as Michael Lyles, owner and featured voice of Smoothjazzontherocks radio; Chuck Kelly, my friend and personal State Farm agent in AZ; Doug Hoxeng and Opa Life; and Chris Shea and Tromba Instruments.

This will be an awesome festival in South Phoenix area! Come on down and soak up the vibe..... April 2 at 6:15 pm. The Main Stage is located in Downtown Library Plaza - 178 E. Commonwealth Ave., south of Chandler Blvd and east of Arizona Ave. I'll be rocking my Tromba Hybrid Ultralight horns! Got good press too!

The following night on Sunday April 3, I will be at Opa Life 6-9 pm for a show with the well known guitarist Michael Powers. This one will be more intimate but alot of fun...

Next Saturday April 9 I will be back in Vancouver at Ten Ten Tapas for our rollicking format there. Come welcome me back!

I have some unexpectedly fun gigs coming up at the Blue Martini, Sylvia Hotel, the Fairview, Sun Yat Sen, and Frankies. Follow me at http://gabrieljazz.com/shows.htm

Below is a sample of last week's show at Frankie's Italian Kitchen, where I will be again July 15.
