Vancouverites will be treated to some great music this weekend, starting tomorrow, Thursday July 23!
First out of the chute is a show that is part of the Jazz Waves Series at the Silk Purse in West Vancouver. I am honored to be performing with the ubiquitous Amanda Wood, who recently put on a knock-em-dead show at the Cultch! Friday, the Bentall Summer Concert series continues with yet another fabulous noon show downtown. I thought it would be great fun in the summertime to mount a Brasil 66 type show, so I conscripted the brightest and best for this event, including Armi Grano, L J Mounteney, Amanda Wood, Tom Arntzen, Daryl Jahnke, Phil Belanger, and Jen Hodge. I will play on a few tunes, but this is all about the singers! Check out the full roster!
Saturday will be the first night of the 2015 Celebration of Light fireworks display at English Bay, Vancouver. I am performing at Ten Ten Tapas (my usual Saturday haunt), and what a great place to view the fireworks, right from the seawall! A special buffet is planned, and the place will be jumpin' so if you are coming, make a rezzie well in advance at 604-689-7800.
