Clark Terry passed away at 94, and is considered a seminal and influential trumpeter by all counts. His distinct tone and deft style were his trademarks that served him well over the years. His unique style of scat singing earned him the moniker 'Mumbles', which influenced the genre itself and fans and followers such as Bill Cosby.
